KernelPanic Posted 23 April , 2020 Share Posted 23 April , 2020 It's released in the US next week. There's a very positive review in the New York TImes (even with the reviewer having Ypres in France). Sounds like a book that's well worth a read. aengland Posted 29 April , 2020 Share Posted 29 April , 2020 So I have just ordered this book from Amazon; it was released on 28 April 2020..... what is the difference between this and 'Endell Street'? Both are by Wendy Moore. Can anyone help me please?
seaJane Posted 29 April , 2020 Author Share Posted 29 April , 2020 They are the same; that is the US edition, which came out later than the UK one. For some reason US publishers don't like less-well-known British addresses and place names in titles.

keithmroberts Posted 27 May , 2020 Share Posted 27 May , 2020 My copy turned up the other day, sad to say, the waiting to be read shelf is still overflowing despite the lockdown. I'll get to it. keith
redbarchetta Posted 29 May , 2020 Share Posted 29 May , 2020 Mine is waiting - looks good. Below, my only physical link with Endell St Hospital - embroidery done by Rifleman A J Charman of 10th Scottish Rifles. I notice the co-founder of the hospital, Flora Murray, had a brother who served with the Scottish Rifles, but was killed in the Boer War, perhaps they chatted...
