battle of loos Posted 31 March , 2020 Share Posted 31 March , 2020 Good evening, I'm looking for information about the mine war and underground construction at Loos & Hill 70. on the site : longlongtrail.co.uk I found this : - 173rd Tunnelling Company Hulluch-Loos area in January 1916 to Spring of 1917 - 180th Tunnelling Company Vermelles sector 1915 during the Battle of Loos. to early 1916 - 253rd Tunnelling Company old Loos battlefield, north of the Vermelles-Hulluch road 1916 to mid-1917 - 258th Tunnelling Company Hill 70 sector near Loos April 1916 to ??? - 3rd Australian Tunnelling Company thank's a lot in advance. regards michel Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

brianmorris547 Posted 1 April , 2020 Share Posted 1 April , 2020 (edited) Michel I only have the WD of 253 TC (WO 95 488/5) for the period January 1916 to June 1917. The Company began mining work on the Front G 11 b 5 7 to H 19 a 3 6 and there are many reports of British and German Blows, some with map references. It is worth downloading.
