Ski Posted 29 March , 2020 Share Posted 29 March , 2020 Good afternoon all, I was wondering if anyone could help decipher the sender of the attached postcard. I've tried all manner of different combinations but cannot find any record of the sender (at the start of the postcard). I'm pretty confident he is of the 2nd Bn Coldstream Guards as the FPO stamp is 4th Brigade and the Officer censoring it is a "G Fildes" which I'm making the assumption is Capt G P Fildes, author of "Iron Times with the Guards". Any ideas or even better any definite records would be much appreciated. Many thanks Lee

Ski Posted 29 March , 2020 Author Share Posted 29 March , 2020 Hi Both, Thanks so much for this. I also read it as J E Newman but for some reason just couldn't locate anything that matched for the Coldstreams. Thanks again Lee
