Conor Dodd Posted 27 March , 2020 Share Posted 27 March , 2020 Not a document but a name written on a piece of art. It seems to be the name of a German soldier with No. 126 Prisoner of War Company in France. Perhaps Gaston or Gustav ....something ???? Anybody with a better knowledge of this type of script care to take a guess ?

Conor Dodd Posted 7 April , 2020 Author Share Posted 7 April , 2020 Thanks for the reply, appreciate it, that certainly sounds like a good candidate. I presume there are no records of the movements of these POW companies or indeed the prisoners that they had working with them ?
