Lt Col C A L Treadwell - 2nd Bt Wellington Regiment

Hi,

I’m currently researching my great grandfather, C A L Treadwell. He was in the NZ Expeditionary Force and fought at the Somme, Passchendaele and Messine most notably. I’ve learnt a lot from his book, ‘recollections of an amateur soldier’, but am always keen to find more information about him. I believe he was acting adjutant in his battalion so I was keen to get hold of the relevant war diary as there is a good chance it was written by him. Does anyone have a copy by chance or any tips on how to locate it?

All the best,

Jamie

Not sure they have been digitised.

But

is a regiment history and he is one of authors. Suspect it would draw heavily on the war diaries
