wpf1958 Posted 25 March , 2020 Share Posted 25 March , 2020 I have a copy of the War Diaries CD and am going through the 8th Battalion Rifle Brigade that ends in mid October 1915 and starts again on 9th April 1916. Looking at the listing on the National Archives it appears that the months should be there with only 23-31 Dec 15 missing. Anyone got any ideas of thoughts? stiletto_33853 Posted 25 March , 2020 Share Posted 25 March , 2020 (edited) The Diary is complete at the TNA although the period you mention is missing from Ancestry etc. I did enquire as to if Ancestry and other organisations had been given different sets. The TNA claim that the diaries given to these organisations were complete and that they have not copied them, convenient. 23rd to 31st Dec 1915 is missing, as you say. December 1915 finishes of with the Nominal Roll of the 8th RB in December 1915 which Couper ordered from every unit in the 14th Division.
