Recommended Posts

Found this in Sweden, but it looks very much german. Any ideas?

looks very similar to the standard German model. A view from the rear would be informative. The shape of the loop hole cover does look slightly different, the normal cover can be positioned to give a very small peep hole. This example does not appear to be able to do this.

Unfortunately many neutral countries did make equipment similar to the beliigerants.

Thanks!

Here are some more pictures. The loophole shield has a form which could allow a small peephole, but it can’t be fastened in this position.

No obvious maker marks.

Lars,

That shield is in superb condition.

Would you be able to get an accurate measurement of the thickness?

JMB

Lars,

I see that time speeded up in the 1 and. half hours between your two replies.

Do we blame Einstein?

Anyway, many thanks for that measurement.

Regards,

JMB

I realised I probably would have difficulty to sleep without knowing the thickness. 🙄😉
