Cymro Posted 3 April , 2020 Author Share Posted 3 April , 2020 I'm inclined to think that they are WW1 period Mark, particularly the Mons. I'd love to see photographic evidence of them being worn though.

Luckily I had bought all the material I needed before the lock down and just needed the time. So I've done it! An old gent in my local market in South Wales giving me a T/RHA/GLAMORGAN 40 years ago arguably started me in this hobby and last year I got the last for my collection. Still some additions, corrections and substitutions to do before framing, but here's what's there so far... Like the mufti badges a lot. Sorry for not replying to your email yet - been a bit hectic. Will do over the weekend. Cheers, GT.

Many thanks for the link, there are some great tins etc. on show there, the supply boxes are fantastic. Edited 5 April , 2020 by GWF1967

They are in very good condition and still supple. If I were to treat antique leather with anything, it would be Cellugel which stabilises the leather without darkening it. NorthStaffsPOW Posted 10 April , 2020 Share Posted 10 April , 2020 There are some lovely items on this thread. I wonder if I might add this souvenir belt (don't like the term "hate belt" when referring to these). This came to me untouched and is still quite grubby, unfortunately some items appear to have been lost to time. My favourite is this Derbyshire Yeomanry badge. There is also a nice pre-1902 Worcester shoulder title.
Michael Haselgrove Posted 10 April , 2020 Share Posted 10 April , 2020 There are altogether too many superb items on this thread to comment on them individually. However, thanks to everyone who has contributed such marvellous things. Here is a helmet from my collection.

Cymro Posted 10 April , 2020 Author Share Posted 10 April , 2020 A bit 'After the Lord Mayor's show' this after Michael's lovely offering but here is a helmet to the 10th SWB in my collection. Also a Welsh Guards or Welsh Horse helmet with an unidentified sign on the opposite side.
