Cross & Cockade AGM

As a result of the on-going Coronavirus outbreak, and the unpredictability of its progress, the Cross & Cockade Committee have regretfully taken the decision to postpone our AGM.  This was due to take place on Saturday April 18th at the RAF Museum, Hendon. 

 

We are also broadcasting this news via social network sites - Facebook, Twitter etc. as well as the Cross & Cockade Website.  Please feel free to pass on this news to anyone you think may need to know.

You may be surprised to learn that 807 Canadians enlisted in the RNAS (Royal Naval Air Service) of whom 279 were killed, died, or were released during the war.  On 1 April 1918, there were at least 528 in the service of the newly created RAF.  I am researching some of these men at the moment.  Check out the link below.

Someone has learnt about C&C because of the present troubles! That's one good thing to come out of it ,at least. Keep well everybody.
