According to Ray Westlake's 1988 The Territorial Force 1914, 66 High Street, Paisley was home to HQ and A, B and C Companies of the 6th (Renfrewshire) Battalion. Paisley also hosted C Squadron of the Lanarkshire Yeomanry and No 1 Works Company of the Renfrewshire Fortress Engineers, although the exact locations of these are not noted. I saw the news about the fire too late last night to start looking up which TF Units had been based there. It's sad to see a surviving drill hall damaged. If that was what it looked like 5 years ago, burning it down is probably a blessing.
