petet Posted 3 March , 2020 Share Posted 3 March , 2020 (edited) ON THIS Day (03/03) On 3rd March 1919, No. 35 Squadron arrived at Netheravon Aerodrome (Wiltshire) having completed its World War I activities in Europe. It remained there until its disbandment on 26th June 1919. I have never really carried out any research regarding post war activity (so today seemed like a good day to set the ball rolling) so I was wondering if anyone could advise on: 1. What would 35 Squadron have done in Europe after cessation of hostilities? 2. What would 35 Squadron have done at Netheravon until its disbandment? 3. Does anyone have a plan / oblique photograph of Netheravon or any information on the layout at the time the squadron was there? Your usual help would be much appreciated Regards Pete Edited 3 March , 2020 by petet
mickdavis Posted 3 March , 2020 Share Posted 3 March , 2020 Quote The three sheds marked 4 were 1915 pattern flight sheds, those marked 1 were 1912 pattern coupled sheds ( plus on triple) while the two on the eastern edge were a twin shed plus a single HP shed.
