Catherine McGurty - US nurse

Recommended Posts

Jim Strawbridge

I am trying to research Catherine McGurty who died 19th march 1919 in France following her falling off a horse and fracturing her skull. She seems to have hailed from New Jersey, graduated in Bridgeport, Connecticut and her body repatriated to and buried in Quebec, Canada. I have come to a halt at present and I should be grateful if someone could give me the names of her parents as that might give me a chance to move further with the research. She is in the 1910 US census at Bridgeport as McGurly.

Thank you, both. I had found the photograph of her but she has been a difficult one to work out as mother seems to have been unmarried but registered Catherine with the father's name.
