Remembered Today:

Barrack Warden badge

The Barracks Wardens wore a similar cap badge to Garrison Staff.  It was a GvR surmounted by a crown.  The Norfolk Yeomanry wore a similar badge but it was significantly larger.

Lowermost photos courtesy of GWF member, HeatherAnneJ.

Also the gravestone photo is from GWF member NigelS and was part of a 2010 post on GWF regarding the GWGC headstone of a Barrack Warden and the badge depicted is that of the Royal Cypher.

The extract from an Army Council Instruction (ACI) is courtesy of GWF member, Graham Stewart.

NB.  In the 1930s the same badge was adopted by the Military Prison/Provost Staff Corps.
