Could somebody please tell me the whereabouts of the Surrey Yeomanry, A Squadron I think, around the 18th to the 31st August 1915? Were they Manning trenches or anywhere near the forward positions? Parties of Westmorland and Cumberland Yeomanry attached for instruction. Helped farmers with harvest...! Been at Croix de Bac since end of May. There's not much detail... I'm just trying to get something sorted for a friend this weekend, otherwise I'd have access to the war diaries on Ancestry, that's why I've been bugging Mike if he, or someone else could look up B Sqn for August.
