Remembered Today:

Does anyone know what my british Great uncle is dressed in 1915?

He's wearing what is known as 'Kitchener Blue', an emergency uniform issued to new recruits early in the war until supplies of serge Service Dress caught up with demand.

Cheers,

GT.

Isn`t that the uniform the men disliked because it made them look like postmen?:(

Yes Phil, it was indeed Kitchener Blue that some men derided as like a Postman’s outfit.
