Hi,

Try as I might, I've been unable to find any reference to "M" Anti-Aircraft Battery of the RGA. I'm not really even sure where to start in terms of War Diaries or locations of placement - were they part of a particular Brigade or Division? That might give me a little more of a clue. I'm particularly interested in what they were up to in the run up to Armistice.

Any help elm would be very gratefully accepted.

Thanks in advance.

Alistair

Hello Alistair

No, which is why their War Diary is not on Ancestry or FindMyPast.

Anti-aircraft sections and batteries were mostly grouped under Army HQs or on the Lines of Communication (L of C). From at least May 1918, "M" AA Battery came under the command of Third Army.

Good hunting!

Ron
