Thomas McDonald/MacDonald

Hi 

Trying to find out information on Thomas McDonald / MacDonald served with the Cameron Highlanders (1023 corporal ) and also the Seaforth Highlanders (238066 serjeant ) .

He received the MM and was killed in action in 1918 . CWGC has him as Thomas  MacDonald

All information will be gratefully received

This soldier has an entry, with plenty of detail, in De Ruvigny's Roll of Honour which is accessible on Ancestry UK.

the duruvignys (can't spell it) roll of honour is a book not just on online research sites.

ill send details when not using my phone if no one else does

War Diary for 8 Seaforths (WO95/1940) shows unit in Support Brigade on 20th April, when commenced to move up to front line and under bombardment - casualties 1 Officer and 3 ORs killed and 12 wounded.

On 21st April when on duty as Front Battalion on left sector of 15 Division were under fire from MGs at dusk and suffered 1 Officer/6 ORs killed and 15 wounded.
