Moonraker Posted 14 February , 2020 Share Posted 14 February , 2020 All right, I responded to the tease and Googled. This is what it's all about. Moonraker
Coldstreamer Posted 14 February , 2020 Share Posted 14 February , 2020 (edited) To quote the website An amazing discovery has been made beneath a farm field in Northern France: a vast underground city where World War I soldiers, on both sides of the conflict, took refuge a century ago. Even more remarkable, it is one of hundreds of buried havens set up close to a 45-mile stretch of the Western Front. Follow American explorer and photographer Jeff Gusky as he documents one of these long forgotten shelters, and witness his attempts to connect the names of the American soldiers etched into the limestone walls to their living descendants. Keith_history_buff Posted 14 February , 2020 Share Posted 14 February , 2020 I caught the tail end of this about a month ago, with a serving soldier tracking those who had served in the AEF. Of particular interest was a specific shape of canoe that had been marked on the wall, that is specific to a particular tribe of Indians in the US.
