20th Service Battalion, Royal Fusiliers

Recommended Posts

Trebrys

Good afternoon, all!

It is blowing a gale here today so I'm at my desk trying to catch up with some things.

Would anyone be able to tell me where A Coy. 20th Service Battalion, Royal Fusiliers was from around November 1915 to July 1916, please? Or...tell me how to get hold of its unit war diary? I'm trying to locate something I found among some old photos I've got.

I've an old pay book that has Bethune and Annequin (I think), but the rest says "Field"...I'd like to see if I can locate that field...though I guess it means at the Front, presumably!

Also, what is the difference between a Service Battalion and a normal one...if there is at all?

Sorry for the hassle.

Many thanks,

Trebrys.
