DorsetDan Posted 7 February , 2020 Share Posted 7 February , 2020 Hey Forum Folk , Can anybody offer a second opinion on these abbreviations found in a RND service record ? On the top line it states GSW ( gun shot wound ) chest and back , but includes E&E and Pene. Not sure on these , the best I can come up with is E&E - entry and exit , Pene. - penetration ! . Anybody out there able to shed any light on this ? Many Thanks DD Image courtesy of TNA

Sepoy Posted 7 February , 2020 Share Posted 7 February , 2020 I agree with you both, but watch out when just using your Dorset Dan initials on Naval related posts. "DD" was used by the Royal Navy for "Discharged Dead" !!! (and we don't want that yet!) Sepoy
