rolt968 Posted 5 February , 2020 Share Posted 5 February , 2020 (edited) Has anyone found any significance in the dates on the back of some Pension Cards. Assuming that this it does refer to 1983, this is the latest date I have found. I thought that it might refer to the widow's death, but she died in 1932. rolt968 Posted 5 February , 2020 Author Share Posted 5 February , 2020 https://www.fold3.com/image/668693114?terms=1019,fleming,adam (I have another thread about him.) He's Adam Fleming, RGA, 95790. There's an interesting indexing error which has incorporated the "PRES" of Presumed Dead into his name. (Incidentally I spent an hour looking for the death of his elder son who is listed in his soldier's record but not on the pension card - then realised that the son was born in 1901 and therefore not eligible for a pension! Not one of my brighter days, today.) RM

RM The error can be reported for correction - http://www.westernfrontassociation.com/latest-news/november-2019/correction-of-transcription-errors-on-fold3/ It certainly looks like 1983 to me- I would imagine that someone made a query regarding the pension but whether that was an internal or external request is not clear.
