Hello all, i was wondering if someone can confirm this is correct. I have found a possible ancester of my wifes, which says he was with the 93rd Army Brigade of the Royal Field Artillery, yet i am unable to find it under the pages for Royal Field Artillery. Am i going mad or am i looking in the wrong area of the website...?

Regards

Gareth Thomas

The unit is 93rd Brigade RFA - the 'Army' bit means it was a unit attached to an Army (eg Fifth Army) rather than at divisional level. This means it was a 'roving' unit that could be moved around a lot, as and where artillery was needed.

I am not sure whether these are listed on Chris' site or not, but you will find a war diary for the unit at the PRO/NA under WO95 and listed under 'Army Troops'.
