Remembered Today:

18th SH; Handwritten location March 1919, but where?

I have this record for a man with a slight wound to finger and admitted/discharged or treated at 18 SH in March 1919. Can't find and precise locations online.

The relevant WO95 diary has not been digitised but the subseries is shown as; SALONIKA, MACEDONIA, TURKEY BLACK SEA, CAUCASUS AND SOUTH RUSSIA. It has actually been indexed as 18 Stationery Hospital (1919 Feb - Nov).

The sheet I have shows a word I can't make out, looks like 'Tufles' to me, it may or may not be a location. I also know he left South Russia in Aug 1919.

Thanks

TEW

Thanks Charlie2, makes sense now with other men buried in Batumi. Now to correct the TNA listing for Stationery.
