Matthew Carr Posted 22 January , 2020 Share Posted 22 January , 2020 Hello all, I'm on the trail of one of my great-great uncles Edgar William Cooper. According to his Medal Index Card he served with the Leicester Yeomanry and 12th Royal Lancers. He disembarked in France on 8th February 1916 but has proved too illusive to track down. A few attempts to track down the units has proved difficult and his Index Card gives no indication as to more specific units. Any information would be really helpful! Thanks all in advance, Matthew

Coldstreamer Posted 23 January , 2020 Share Posted 23 January , 2020 you are fortunate that you dont need more specific regimental details - its not like either had dozens of battalions! try here https://www.9th12thlancersmuseum.org/ for starters
