pearsonica Posted 20 January , 2020 Share Posted 20 January , 2020 I have just been clearing out some of my fathers belongings and these photos dropped out. Whats interesting it proves that my grandfather was with 110 Squadron at RAF Sedgeford East Retford at the end of the war early 1919. We have had for some years two photo of him flying a Martinsyde G102 Elephant B'872 we guessed that the photos had been part of some trick photography. now we found out how he produced the pictures. Here are the original Pictures and the photos made to look like he was flying the plane. He was well used to flying this type as he was with 27 Squadron during the Big Push on the Somme in 1916 The same aircraft can be found on line with Lieutenant (Lt) Charles Eaton, Royal Flying Corps (RFC) at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:P03531.004Eaton1917.jpg
