Is this WW1 ?

I recently bought this cap badge to go with a trio of the welsh reg,is it ww1 or shoould it be plain brass

It is the standard badge for the Welsh Regiment adopted in 1898 and worn until circa 1920 when the spelling changed to Welch.  The all brass badges were issued from 1916, if I recall correctly, as a method of simplifying mass production, and so became associated with the New Armies raised by Kitchener, although that is not to say that TF and Regulars might never be seen in such badges.
