Lieutenant Reginald Addison Hope

I am researchiing Lieutenant Reginald Addison Hope, 1st Battalion North Staffordshire Regiment, died on Tuesday 31st July 1917, aged 23, Duhallow ADS VII. E. 30.

I have all the CWGC information and his personal information. However, I know he went out to to Gallipoli on Saturday 26th June 1915. Reginald arrived on the battlefield a month later. He had not been serving long before he was wounded in August. He was evacuated to Lemnos from he was eventually invalided to England.

Does anyone know the date when he returned to fight in Flanders?

Best wishes

Wilhelm

Have you seen his Officer's service file at the National Archives here ? Unfortunately not online.

De Ruvigny says Hope served France from 21/6/16

Super, thanks so much.

I live in Germany so popping over to the NA is sadly not an option.

You could hire an independent researcher. Officer files can be got for as little as £5 depending on how many pages they contain.

One such researcher I can recommend is https://www.arcre.com others are available.

That's a good idea and thanks for the link that I will keep.
