ilkley remembers Posted 14 January , 2020 Share Posted 14 January , 2020 (edited) I wondered into St Pancras Station just before Christmas for a quick stiffener before catching the train to Leeds from Kings Cross and noticed this new war memorial which was apparently unveiled in 2018 and features the occupations of men and women from the station who served in both WW1 and WW2. If you want to know what an under shunter of ticket taker actually did then there is a handy reference guide here https://stpancras.com/news-events/war-memorial-unveiled which also includes a list of the fallen from the station and some biographies.
