FROGSMILE Posted 16 January , 2020 Share Posted 16 January , 2020 (edited) I’ve just learned that the Depot Eastern Command was in Shoreham Camp, Shoreham-on-sea, so I think that there’s a strong chance that that is the location of the ECAG School. Toby Brayley Posted 16 January , 2020 Share Posted 16 January , 2020 It appears fairly common post war with the BAOR. Quite a few units seen doing it. This 17th Lancer Hotchkiss Gunner. Germany 1919. Note he still has a hooked quillon bayonet in 1919!

Thank you for this information Frogsmile Looking back through my postcard/photograph scan files, I noticed that I had scanned the reverse of the Gas Course postcard. It states that the photograph was of the 54th Officers Course held between 2nd and 11th October, 1918. It lists a few of the Officers:- Major Hardinge, RGA Captain Curteis, RE Captain Noble, 3rd East Surreys Captain Grant, RFA Lieutenant Jenkins MGC (Cav) Lieutenant Stoker, MGC (Cav) Sorry for not adding this before. Weren't they from a Batt, of Devon going to another Batt of Devons? Given one had a brother in the other Devons that ties up. I may have miss heard (getting old) but I'm pretty sure that was the plot.
