Manchester Regiment I am trying to find out more about this soldier on behalf of a Belgium friend who has interest in Samuel. Bn. Number, Where he fell, presumably in the 3rd Battle of Ypres or Passchendaele. His enlist date & where he came from & who his family were & where they lived. Any help really appreciated .Thank You. It would have been at Poelcapelle where the battalion suffered many casualties including a 2Lt Ainsworth of D Company who was one of the men my wife has been researching. My friend and I took some photos at Tyne Cot. Barely discernable, but Samuel's name is there on the 5th panel from the left (with the reflection of the sun I think), middle column about half way down immediately above the horizontal line which is virtually underlining his name.
