petet Posted 21 December , 2019 Share Posted 21 December , 2019 I am doing some research on a couple of Royal Aircraft Factory RE8 which were on charge of No. 35 Squadron as follows: Serial No. On Charge Off Charge A4186 22/03/1917 – C2298 – 23/01/1919 Firstly, can anyone fill in the blanks but, more importantly, could anyone advise on the squadron usage (ie were these "communication" aircraft or were they used in an operational role). Your usual help would be much appreciated Regards Pete
travers61 Posted 24 December , 2019 Share Posted 24 December , 2019 Just in case you havn't seen it C2298 seems to have been on the Headquarters Flight in 1918 & was involved in two crashes, one when Brig-General G S Clive was aboard.
