Marigold1 Posted 20 December , 2019 Share Posted 20 December , 2019 I am following the route taken by the 1st Battalion of the Buffs in the autumn of 1914. The war diary lists the following places which I have been unable to locate in a detailed AA atlas of France, on Google Earth, or by Google place name searches. 1. Mesmin and Mont Notre Dame (both somewhere on a march between Rozieres-sur-Mouzon and Courcelles (which is presumably Courcelles-sur-Vesle). This march ended at Vailly, east of Soissons. 2. Le Cruseo Beau and Croix Marechal (both soemwhere on a march between Outtersteene and Bois-Grenier). Any suggestions most gratefully received.
