leo burke Posted 14 December , 2019 Share Posted 14 December , 2019 (edited) while going through these records I am unable to open document #1965614 which covers the exhumations of "Y" ravine cemetery #2 grid reference # 57d.Q.17.a.4.9. I have reason to believe my uncle was originally buried here. any help from members would be much appreciated. there were two men of the newfoundland regiment buried here. WhiteStarLine Posted 14 December , 2019 Share Posted 14 December , 2019 Hi Leo, Adding details such as his name and date of death would really assist those who might be able to help. There is a description of the conditions of clearing the trench already on the forum - try this thread: If you want to know where his body was exhumed from with reference to Y Ravine and the modern CWGC cemetery, then preview.tmapper.com shows Y Ravine as 150 metres away:

I have answered in your other thread regarding this burial and I think it unlikely that Leo was ever buried in Y Ravine British Cemetery No2, this was another cemetery created by V Corps during 1917.
