pukman Posted 11 December , 2019 Author Share Posted 11 December , 2019 I have a few trench art shells, but I have not seen anything quite like this in New Zealand. This is a two part question, where can I find out about this Belgian Unit and if it is a possible name on the shell as well. Secondly what can we find out about the shell itself by the markings on the base . Cheers Iain D.
KizmeRD Posted 12 December , 2019 Share Posted 12 December , 2019 (edited) The head marks on the casing indicate that it was manufactured by Atelier de Constructions de Puteaux (A. PX). It was made for a 155mm rapid fire Rimailho model 1904TR howitzer. Michael Edited 12 December , 2019 by KizmeRD

keithfazzani Posted 16 December , 2019 Share Posted 16 December , 2019 Interesting that it has 1914-1919. I know these are the correct dates, but rarely used. One must presume that it was etched and presented presumably after June 1919?
