BereniceUK Posted 7 December , 2019 Share Posted 7 December , 2019 Very nice. Are you thinking of doing a book of similar sketches of other memorials?
Gardenerbill Posted 7 December , 2019 Author Share Posted 7 December , 2019 Thank you Berenice, glad you like it. Not particularly, there is a Caffe Nero on St Peters Square in Manchester where I get a coffee most mornings before work and you can see the Cenotaph through one of the windows, so I took in a sketch pad one morning and drew it. 17107BM Posted 7 December , 2019 Share Posted 7 December , 2019 I really wish I had such skill. Any more to post on WWI subjects? Cheers.
Gardenerbill Posted 7 December , 2019 Author Share Posted 7 December , 2019 No but that's given me some ideas.
Fattyowls Posted 7 December , 2019 Share Posted 7 December , 2019 That's really impressive Mark; to quote U2 - even better than the real thing. I know that Costa, but on the odd occasions I've been in or past I've not been inspired to high art. I'd like to see some more too if you are up for it. Or since this is Madchester mad for it....... Pete.
Interested Posted 7 December , 2019 Share Posted 7 December , 2019 Definitely Caffe Nero and not Costa; I prefer the former's coffee. (Perhaps this ought to be posted in the Pedants thread, though!)

(Perhaps this ought to be posted in the Pedants thread, though!) A perfectly reasonable point and not pedantic at all. Fastitious in the interests of accuracy I'd call it. I've amended the error accordingly. Still a nice picture too. Pete.
