Coronation Medals

As part of my research of my Great grandfather C.S.M. Alfred Nelson BAKER, a newly-discovered Cousin had in her possession what appear3d to be two of his medals.  These are Coronation Medals for King Edward VII and for King George V.  He was a long-serving member of the Territorials and I believe that he was awarded these for taking part in the respective coronation parades.

Whilst they in themselves appear to be authentic - and I have a photograph of his mother wearing these and his service medals later, after his death, would they have been engraved or personalised ?

The 1902 medal is engraved with his name:- ‘Sgt A Baker 2nd Roy. Fus. ‘ around the Royal Cypher on that side of the medal.  Is this authentic or could this have been engraved / added later ‘unofficially’ ?

The 1911 medal is not similarly engrav3d.

Coronation medals were issued unnamed.

Recipients may have had them named 'unofficially '.

Please see this newspaper article with one of my wifes relatives Benjamin Steven Green who was the RMA bandleader at the 1911 coranation and did receive the coranation medal. He is shown wearing medals. I do have other photos of him.14688195_BenjaminSGreen.jpg.c1933a555bd8a5b48faa47d09badfacd.jpg
