The University of Leicester Special Collections have digitised a large number of street directories (Kelly's and others). You can select by county and then by period covered - in our case 1910-1919, for example.

Is this a relaunch?  I poked about in their search system several years ago and found it hard to achieve anything worthwhile, on family history, but not war.

I hope it is an improved version.

I don't think it's a specific re-launch or specifically targeted for the war. But I haven't seen it mentioned here before, so don't know whether the search system has been upgraded, for example, though it seemed easy enough to use. It has just come in useful for finding a resident at a certain address.
