Hello

I have started researching my family and found 3 of my great uncles were in the artillery during the great war.

Thomas Edgar MOYE was born in Ipswich in 1884 and I have info from the 1911 census, the medal roll, his medal card and the army list (2nd lieutenant).

I've signed up to the Forces War Records and will try and see what's held for him at Kew

Does anyone have any info on him or can you suggest what else I can do?

Many thanks

Jeremy

Welcome to the forum.

If you are going to Kew then you will be able to see / copy his officer service file. It will have been heavily  weeded but can often contain useful info. https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C1121129

The Long Long Trail link above will help you in the general research of a soldier.

Good luck with all your three searches and do come back with any questions.

David
