Hi all,

Can anybody help me ... visiting France in April and want to find rough location of Mazingarbe trenches as described per the 6 Buffs war diary ... one of 5 killed on 6 Oct 1915 was missus' uncle ... he is on Loos Memorial ... Tom Hussey of 6 Buffs.

Thanks in advance

I have details on Tom Hussey G4324. He was part of D Company 6th Buffs also known as Cory's unit. Although as far as I know he had no connection with Cory whose employees formed the bulk of the company. You probably know the following Born in Chelsea and lived in Notting Hill the son of Mr Alfred & Mrs Eileen Hussey, 6 Calverley Street, Notting Hill. He was a dyer and cleaner. For some reason I have yet to establish he enlisted in Margate

Also Keith ... I've seen online that I've missed the recent talk you gave about the company ... absolutely gutted when I found out.

I see on the advert for the evening that there is a picture of some description ... is this a full company photo? If so does Tom appear in it as we've never seen a photograph of him

Best wishes

Dan
