Stephen Nulty Posted 7 February , 2005 Share Posted 7 February , 2005 In the 1901 census, George and Mildred Hart had 2 sons and 4 daughters. Dorothy (7) was the eldest, followed by Hilda (6), Arthur (5), Gladys (3), Sarah (1) and Albert (2 months). They lived in Telver Street, Willingham, where George was a Florist. Jonathan Saunders Posted 8 February , 2005 Share Posted 8 February , 2005 Stuart, I am sure Jim Strawbridge can add some light to these women when he sees this thread. Incidently are you local to Willingham and do you know anything of their Home Guard unit in WW2?
Stuart Brown Posted 8 February , 2005 Author Share Posted 8 February , 2005 Hello Jonathan Thank you. I was thinking that Jim would want the image if he does not already have it. Not local to Willingham - just passing through.
Jim Strawbridge Posted 8 February , 2005 Share Posted 8 February , 2005 I have visited this churchyard myself and paid my respects at the graveside. I have no more information on the sisters but found it strange that Dorothy Willis is commemorated on the memorial scroll in the church. Her sister's name is omitted.
