Malcolm Linham Posted 16 November , 2019 Share Posted 16 November , 2019 Pals Does anyone know if marching chocolate preferably Caleys is still available to buy and if so where. I am going to a couple of WFA meetings next month , where we have been asked to bring some food. So I thought that this would be most appropriate. Admin DavidOwen Posted 17 November , 2019 Admin Share Posted 17 November , 2019 Malcolm Seems they ended up as Mackintosh's and so now is Nestle ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mackintosh's#Caley_acquisition ) so plenty of Nestle choices to choose from. Having said that it appeared in Morrisons in 2009... http://www.chocablog.com/reviews/caleys-marching-chocolate/ but sadly it doesn't feature on the online site today. Enjoy it whatever you choose! John(txic) Posted 17 November , 2019 Share Posted 17 November , 2019 I'm sure I bought some in Whitby a few years ago.
Admin DavidOwen Posted 17 November , 2019 Admin Share Posted 17 November , 2019 Seems Caley's may still be in business in Norwich as per Twitter account https://twitter.com/CaleysChocolate but not guaranteed see below. Small warning that trying to connect to the website via the link on the Twitter account came back with a security warning. So I am not sure if they are still trading. This Ancestry message board had a message from 2010 about them still selling - nothing more recent it seems.
Don Regiano Posted 17 November , 2019 Share Posted 17 November , 2019 seem to have been gobbled up in 1999 - the acquiring company's website is not very informative
Malcolm Linham Posted 17 November , 2019 Author Share Posted 17 November , 2019 Thanks everyone for the information , I was aware of the Twitter link but because of the security warning didn't go anywhere near it. Malcolm
