Remembered Today:

177 Tunnelling Coy memorial @ RE Railway cemetery

Recommended Posts

Working through a file at the CWGC today relating to the memorial for this monument. Fascinating to read and to hold the document from Kipling where he amended the wording for the monument. Also interesting to see the journey of the original wooden cross to the Church of the Annunciation near Marble Arch in London. It's not listed on www.thereturned.co.uk so I wonder if it's still there!
