There is a note for which I cannot find any context. I don't know what it means or its significance.

I think it reads as follows .....

Brought to the notice of the Secretary of Stater for War, for valuable services rendered in connection with the war.
Authy. "Communique" War Office of 28. 8. 10

Can anyone please help advise me who else might be able to.

Thank you, Ken, I think you may well be right, I'll see if any other suggestions arise,

Incidentally It should have read 'Authy. Communique 28 8 19' not '10'
