Buffnut453 Posted 2 November , 2019 Share Posted 2 November , 2019 A relative was reburied at Queant Road Military Cemetery. His initial burial location was given as a map reference. Hopefully some kind expert here can help identify where he was originally buried? The map reference is 57c.D.17.b.4.7 Any haelp would be greatly appreciated. WhiteStarLine Posted 2 November , 2019 Share Posted 2 November , 2019 The initial location wasn't all that far from Queant, which is almost to the west. You can do these conversions yourself at tmapper.com
Buffnut453 Posted 2 November , 2019 Author Share Posted 2 November , 2019 Many thanks White Star Line. I had no idea that an app was readily available to help with this...it always seemed like a dark art practiced by those who read the runes of century-old map-marking and coordinates. Appreciate both the fish and for teaching me how to fish, all in one go!
