Paul Reed Posted 6 February , 2005 Share Posted 6 February , 2005 One of the forum members, David Langley, has written a book on 2/RWF which has a section on this battle. David has also published a re-print of the classic account by Frank Richards 'Old Soldiers Never Die' - Richards fought in the battle. I am sure he will respond, but I would recommend both books along with Capt J.C.Dunn's 'The War The Infantry Knew' which is a sort of battalion history, but a whole lot more besides. There is pbk edition that one still in print.

Muerrisch Posted 7 February , 2005 Share Posted 7 February , 2005 Harlan: I will be happy to fill in: any relative of Rowlands is in a very favoured position! If you like, you can email me off site, but I am easy either way.
