Allan1892 Posted 22 October , 2019 Share Posted 22 October , 2019 Thought that you might be interested in a post card that I found recently which depicts a Welcome Home parade / fete that the Ashington (Northumberland) Council organised for the returning military. The parade / fete took place on the 19th July 1919. All soldiers and sailors received a silver medallion and I am lucky to have the one that was given to my paternal grandfather, John 'Jack' Robinson, Northumberland Fusiliers.
