Rich Posted 22 October , 2019 Share Posted 22 October , 2019 Hi My 2nd Grt Uncle died on the 22/061916 aged 24 serving with the Royal Engineers as a Sapper 71746 & is buried in St Pol. l am trying to find out what medals he would have received for his service. He was entitled to the British War Medal and the Victory Medal (he didn't serve overseas before 1916). You should be able to view his Medal Index Card on Ancestry free of charge.
