algrowen Posted 21 October , 2019 Share Posted 21 October , 2019 Hello, can anyone please identify what this medal or medallion is please? It feels like it’s made from pressed tin and is very light. I’m guessing it’s a commemorative medal for WW1, but I can find nothing at all about it. Any help will be gratefully received. Many thanks
mancpal Posted 21 October , 2019 Share Posted 21 October , 2019 Can’t really help at all but am curious about the ‘makers mark’ above the right hand shield on first photo. Can’t make it out on phone screen . Unlikely I could help anyway but others possibly will know more. Simon
OLD ROBIN HOOD Posted 21 October , 2019 Share Posted 21 October , 2019 Greetings from a very cool Sherwood Forest Just a guess but it looks like one of the many medallions produced at the end of WW1 to commemorate the victory of the Allies over the Central Powers. There used to be a lot of these around . Old Robin Hood
