any info re my gt uncle edward aubrey jackson.c4658 , a coy , (3or8) platoon , 17th KRR's. joined nov 1915 mia 3/9/16 near Beaumont Hamel. many thanks if able to help.

Hi Charles, yes his service records are available on Ancestry. He died of wounds (DOW) 3rd Sept 1916. Just having a look now for you. Regards, Bob.

Further to my last reply, he is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. So you are correct in saying he was MIA.  Your Gt Uncle Edward Aubrey Jackson age 21, is listed as being the  son of Benjamin and Martha Jackson, of 65, Swan St., Borough, London. Regards, Bob.

It would seem to be the right man then! If you follow the "Long Long Trail" then you may find more. It is quite easy but time consuming, yet a lot of fun finding out about your ancestor/s. Regards, Bob.
