Mangoman Posted 1 October , 2019 Share Posted 1 October , 2019 (edited) I have made several Google searches to establish what the above appointment actually meant, but without any joy. Frederick was appointed to a Temporary Regular Commission with the Gloucestershire Regiment as a 2nd Lieutenant from the Bristol University Officer Cadet Training Corps on 28th September 1914 (Gazetted 4th November 1914) and assigned to the 7th (Service) Battallion, as part of the 39th Infantry Brigade, 13th (Western) Division in Kitchener's New Army that was first raised in Bristol in August 1914. I hope that somebody with a greater knowledge of Army ranks can help me with my problem? Edited 3 October , 2019 by Mangoman

Terry_Reeves Posted 2 October , 2019 Share Posted 2 October , 2019 Agree with Js post above. In fact it separates it from TF and Special Reserve commissions. TR
